Carrie Hunter

Carrie Hunter has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1999. She received two Master’s degrees from the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary: Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and Master of Divinity. Previously, Carrie was a public school teacher working with teens with Learning Disabilities. Before working in community practices, Carrie worked at The Center for Women and Families where she worked with those victimized by sexual assault and/or intimate partner violence.
Carrie has been using EMDR regularly for over 20 years. Carrie is an EMDRIA-approved EMDR Consultant. She has experience with using EMDR to address implicit memories, emetophobia, car accidents, attachment wounds, fear of doing driver’s training, needle phobia, panic attack, dating violence, hate crime experiences, rape/sexual assault experiences, transgenerational trauma, poor self-esteem issues, and self-care, and much more.
Carrie lives with her wife and two Yorkies in Southern Indiana. She enjoys gardening, cooking (and eating), crafting and reading.
